The media spokesman for the Islamic Action Front Party, Thabet Assaf, announced, on his Facebook page, his arrest on Monday morning, while he was on his way from Qatraneh to Amman.

Sources in the Labor Front confirmed to Al-Bawsala that Assaf was arrested without knowing the reasons that led to that, but it may be related to an event called for by the unified Jordanian movement.

The party confirmed that it is following up on Al-Assa’s arrest through the party’s Freedoms Committee, and through the Secretary-General to find out the reasons for the arrest and to seek his release as soon as possible.
