The government responded to the questions of the representative of the Islah bloc, Adnan, about the teachers’ union, its legal status, and the election period.

The response, according to Mushouka, comes after more than two months of procrastination in answering questions in a file that the government’s administration has caused a lot of popular controversy.

According to the documents published by the representative, Mushuka, the responses included the Minister of Justice, the Head of the Judicial Council, the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Minister of Education.

On the position of the union before the judiciary, the head of the Judicial Council, Judge Muhammad Al-Ghaz, said that the Court of Appeal issued a decision to rescind the decision of the Amman Penal Court of Peace, which decided to dissolve the union and to stop its prosecution.

He added that with regard to the criminal conciliation case, it is still pending before the judiciary, and no judgment has been issued in it to date.

And he indicated that the court decided to extend the hand of the Council of the Syndicate and rejected the appeal submitted to extend the hand of the Council.

With regard to the union elections, the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs said that holding the elections comes within two tracks, the first of which is natural in the months of 3 and 4 to elect branch bodies, the central committee, and the president and members of the union council, and the second is for the minister to form a committee from the general body of the union to take the place of the dissolved council until a new council is elected during 6 months from the date of dissolution.
