The world has long realized how dangerous environmental pollution is on the planet, so it has sounded alarm bells and urged various factories to preserve the environment and educate people about the need to recycle waste to reduce pollution, with countries keen to hold many international events such as the Climate Summit that will be held on the 6 November and continues until the 18th of the same month, in Sharm El-Sheikh, to urge the world to preserve the environment.

Because of the importance of the event, the plastic artist, Sarah Ragab, designed two three-dimensional models from thousands of used “cannes” and mineral water plastic bottles, in the form of camels and a globe, to urge through them the need to preserve the environment and protect it from pollution, as she said during her speech to “The Seventh Day”. During my stay in Sharm El-Sheikh, I thought of designing two globes, which are in the form of a globe that combines shades of light and dark green to express the shape of the planet when its residents are committed and keen to preserve it from pollution, and do not get rid of plastic by throwing it in the garbage, and it becomes like the city of Sharm Sheikh, which was recently declared a green city.

And she continued, “As for the camel anthropomorphic, it symbolizes the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, and is designed from thousands of used treasures, with a desire to send a message to tourists and citizens about the danger of plastic and treasure to animals when they walk on it or even try to eat it.”

Sarah Ragab indicated that she collected the remnants of the “Canz” from a waste factory, stressing that she had the support of Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, to implement the idea on the ground.

Sarah stressed that some of the “cannes” were from her personal use, as she was keen to collect plastic waste to be used in implementing some ideas, noting that the number of “cannes” was 4 thousand and that she did not face any difficulty in designing the models.

Sarah works as a graffiti artist, where she can draw on large areas, so she dreams of entering the Guinness Book of World Records in designing the largest graffiti painting or model of waste.
