Rural fils supported 307 homes at a cost of 915 thousand dinars

The Higher Steering Committee for Rural Fils confirmed that about 307 homes and sites benefited from the electricity supply through the regular networks for the month of last October, at a total cost of 915,000 dinars.
The Chairman of the Committee, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, said in a press statement today, Tuesday, that the committee approved, during a meeting held by a group of projects, economic activities and homes, to which electricity will be delivered at the expense of the rural fils, and it includes production, industrial and investment projects located in areas of pockets of poverty and outside the boundaries of the organization Residential communities consisting of five houses outside the boundaries of the organization.
He added that the projects and activities include residential communities consisting of a minimum of three houses outside the organization’s boundaries, chaste families’ homes within the organization’s boundaries, and lighting a number of roads.
The Minister stressed the importance of these projects in supporting local communities, reducing the burden of energy bills on them, and expanding job opportunities available in the project area.
For his part, the Director of the Directorate of Electricity and Rural Electrification at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ziad Al-Saeeda, presented the details of the decisions, which include production, industrial and investment projects located in areas of pockets of poverty and outside the boundaries of the organization.
He pointed out that the contribution of the rural fils to this segment is 62 thousand dinars, provided that these projects provide job opportunities for Jordanians living in the project area and support the local community.
He explained that the decisions also include residential communities consisting of five houses outside the boundaries of the organization, at a total cost of 351 thousand dinars.

This item came to support chaste families with limited incomes.
He added that the approved categories include a segment of poultry, cow, sheep and fish farm projects within the areas of poverty pockets located outside the organization, at a total cost of 10,000 dinars, believing in the ministry’s role in supporting farmers, encouraging livestock production and enhancing self-reliance.
The decisions approved include lighting the roads leading to the cemeteries at a cost of 170,000 dinars, in order to make it easier for citizens to bury their dead during the night.
Al-Saeeda indicated that the rural fils contributed to raising the capabilities of the transfer stations that were established at the expense of the rural fils during the last ten years for the purpose of treating the weakness in the current and reducing electrical losses at a financial cost of 25 thousand dinars.
