The Compass – During an inspection campaign carried out by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation seized major attacks in the Al-Hallabat area on one of the main conveying lines to supply ponds and a water barrier, pumps and (refineries), and the extension of main lines to irrigate tens of dunams, water livestock, and shades for filling tanks. The ministry said in a statement on Monday, that these attacks were seized, which supply Amman, Zarqa, Irbid and Mafraq in the Al-Hallabat area, to supply ponds and a huge water barrier for watering livestock, sheep and farms, and to sell tanks in violation of the neighboring crushers and quarries.

She added that 6 attacks on the main water lines in Karak were also seized, by withdrawing long-distance lines to supply poultry farms and tree farms, as these lines were separated, the situation re-established, and seizures were made for the incident to be transferred to the competent authorities.

The ministry stressed that it will not compromise in carrying out its duty towards citizens and preserving their water rights, as these attacks constitute one of the most important challenges facing the water sector.
