Free solo climber Alain Robert scaled a 48-storey building in Paris to mark his 60th birthday. Nicknamed “French Spider-Man”, Robert climbed the 187-meter (613-foot) Total Energy building on Saturday. last year, according to the English newspaper “Metro”.

The Frenchman, dressed in the famous red Spider-Man outfit, raised his arms high as he reached the top of the skyscraper, which towers above the La Defense business district in the French capital, and was climbing the towering tower without a belt, using only his hands, a pair of climbing shoes, and a bag of chalk powder to remove Sweat.
“I want to send people a message that being 60 is nothing… you can still be active and do great things,” Robert said. “I promised myself several years ago that when I turned 60, I would climb that tower again.” Because 60 is the retirement age in France and I thought that was a nice touch.”.
Robert added that he wants to use climbing to raise awareness of the need to take action on climate change, and Robert has been climbing since 1975, where he trained on the slopes near his hometown of Valencia in southern France..
