Concerns renewed for the health of Queen Elizabeth II, after the publication of photos showing Queen Elizabeth meeting with the new British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

The 96-year-old welcomed Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss at Balmoral Castle in the Scottish Highlands on Tuesday, where she was formally asked to form a new government after Boris Johnson resigned, the New York Post reported.

The Queen has appointed 14 prime ministers over the course of her 70-year reign, and festivities usually take place at Buckingham Palace.

Tuesday was the first time Queen Elizabeth was appointed prime minister of Scotland, amid speculation that her health was too weak to return to London for the ceremony.

Pictures from the meeting were published that immediately caught the eye with a dark blue bruise on the Queen’s right hand.

Hundreds of concerned royalists took to Twitter to express their concern about the Queen’s health, with one of them writing, “What is happening in the hands of the Queen, what is this blue color?”

“My mum and dad’s hands go like this, and I think it’s about thinner skin with age, and therefore more prone to bruising,” one blogger said, in an attempt to calm fans’ fears.

The concerns come less than three months after a royal expert claimed that photographs showed Queen Elizabeth “fading before our eyes”.

And Queen Elizabeth appeared, in the same picture, while she was based on a stick, after many health reports spread, confirming that she had problems with movement.
