The Compass – Jordan has announced facilities to enter their lands through free visas and extensive flights between them and Doha, as part of their program to host the World Cup fans in Qatar next November.

Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Al-Majali said that the decision came to facilitate the procedures for the transfer of sports teams and fans during the World Cup in Qatar.

The Minister of Interior added that everyone who holds a “Haya” card will be allowed to enter the territory of the Kingdom of Jordan, pointing out that there will be no exception for any Arab or foreign nationality.

He added that the decision would attract sports fans to Jordan to advance the tourism and economic sectors in the country.

The Qatar World Cup 2022 begins on November 20, with the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium, and ends on December 18, in the first football World Cup to be held in the Middle East and the Arab world.

Over the course of 29 days, the tournament will witness 64 matches, with the curtains on the competitions to come to an end on December 18, coinciding with the National Day of the State, at the Lusail Stadium, which can accommodate 80,000 fans.

“Haya fan” card

And the “Haya” card is a mandatory personal identification document for fans to attend the World Cup matches in Qatar, through which the Kingdom is trying to invest in this football wedding to attract them to visit it and revive its tourism sector.

Meanwhile, Qatar expects 1.2 million people to visit the small Gulf state during the World Cup, and many fans have expressed concerns about the limited availability of accommodation and travel, according to Agence France-Presse.

With increasing pressure on Qatar to find housing and rooms for hundreds of thousands of fans, Saudi and Kuwaiti airlines, “Fly Dubai” and Oman Air will operate more than 160 daily flights, starting from November 20, to go and return within 24 hours to and from Doha to follow the matches.

The Gulf states agreed to facilitate administrative procedures for fans who will pass in their countries. Dubai Airport is preparing to put in place travel procedures that will “make travel much easier” between the Emirates and Qatar.
