Jordan sends emergency relief aid plane to Pakistan

The Compass – The Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization has prepared and sent an emergency relief aid plane for the benefit of the brothers in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan after the floods that led to great losses and damages.

According to a statement issued by the authority, coordination was made with the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army/ Air Force to equip the plane and load it with relief and food materials. Arrangements were made with the Pakistani authorities for the purpose of receiving these materials by the competent authorities so that they could be distributed to the beneficiaries there.

The Secretary-General of the authority, Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, said, “Based on the directives of His Majesty the King to stand by the brothers in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan after the floods that afflicted the country and resulted in damage and losses in all aspects of life and lives, work has been done to prepare relief, food, health and other supplies.”

And he indicated that the preparation of these relief and food items came based on an assessment of the needs received from the Pakistani authorities, in coordination with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Jordanian embassy there, and in arrangement with the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army / Royal Air Force to send these materials and hand them over to the concerned authorities there.
