The writer Hussein Al-Rawashdeh emphasized that the suicide of some citizens is the harshest and most eloquent cry of “protest” that a person can hear in any society.

Al-Rawashdeh said, wondering: Why do these citizens commit suicide, and what are the reasons that motivate them to choose death and salvation from life? Is not the cry of suicide the harshest and most eloquent cry of “protest” that a person can hear in any society?

A crisis that needs to stop

Confirming what Al-Rawashdeh said, criminology expert and professor of sociology at Mutah University, Dr. Hussein Mahadin, said in his statements to:compassThat such practices may occur, and in new forms; Because people who want to remind themselves, whether fatally through suicide, or screaming, or through the models presented by some in violence, “are all indications that we have an internal crisis that needs a scientific pause.”

Mahadin added that what we see in terms of scientific accuracy are apparent symptoms of the problem, and it is deepening in its economic and value essence, and therefore the ways of expressing it differ between a frustrated person, another expatriate, and a third yearning to express that he is suffering.

He warned that the presence of one suicide case deserves to mobilize the community, because such strange behavior represents a primary nucleus, which is feared to turn into a chain reaction (infection), meaning that each new suicide case provokes others living in the same condition as the suicide, which makes them follow the path of the suicide, As an expression of their rejection of the rising frequency of religious weakness, the increase in economic pressures, and the melting of social standards.

Mahadin said: The suicide process poses a constant threat with the escalation witnessed in society, but the most dangerous is the absence or neglect of scientific studies by the government to analyze the motives that make citizens legitimate to commit suicide.

He considered this behavior a parallel translation of the state of rejection experienced by individuals, noting that “despite its sanctity, its perpetrators were the boldest in expressing it.”

The suicide incident of a female doctor at the University of Jordan Hospital provoked wide responses and sympathy among the members of Jordanian society, despite the insistence of the vast majority that a person must cling to faith and hope and face problems and challenges no matter how difficult they are, without neglecting the duty of the state and the responsible authorities to provide appropriate working conditions. And generous and provide help, support and psychological assistance to everyone who needs it.
