The National Electric Power Company has raised its readiness to deal with the heat wave that prevails in the Kingdom, starting tomorrow, Saturday.

She said that the electrical system in the Kingdom is characterized by high reliability comparable to those in developed countries, and that the company, within specific plans, raises its readiness to face electrical loads during the heat wave.

In such cases, the company implements the appropriate operational plans and monitors the generation plants and their readiness to absorb the expected demand for electric power during the current heat wave.
In response to a question by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), she indicated that the electrical system in the Kingdom, whether in the transmission or generation network, has raised its readiness to meet the demand for electricity.

It emphasized that it had completed the periodic and preventive maintenance programs supported by sufficient generating capacity to absorb the loads resulting from the high temperatures.
