Amending the bases of electricity delivery at the expense of rural fils

The Council of Ministers, in its session held today, Sunday, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh, approved the amendment of the approved bases for the delivery of electric current at the expense of rural fils.
The amendments aim to improve and simplify the services and procedures of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; With the aim of serving the citizens within the main goals of the rural penny.
According to the amendments, new items were added to the foundations, including: the delivery of electric current to the communities consisting of a minimum of five homes, at an average cost of three thousand dinars per house from the value of the low-voltage works only, and the rural fils bears an amount of three thousand dinars for each house in the community From the costs of switching stations and medium voltage line if there is a need to install medium voltage line and transformer stations.
The foundations stipulated the availability of a duly attested organizational board for the community, and the necessary documents from a land plan, an organizational site plan, a registration deed, and an occupancy permit, in addition to the requirement that the community be served by the infrastructure of roads and water.
The items added to the foundations also included raising the capabilities of the transfer stations that were built at the expense of rural fils during the last ten years. For the purposes of addressing the weakness in the current and reducing electrical losses.
The item on lighting the streets leading to the cemeteries was amended within the foundations to become the lighting of these streets regardless of the organizational capacity, at a financial cost of ten thousand dinars per cemetery, and the rest at the expense of the beneficiary, provided that the rural penny is not responsible for installing the lighting units.
On a related level, the Council of Ministers directed to amend the foundations related to the delivery of electric current to production projects, so that the owners of these projects are required to employ Jordanians for the purpose of approving the delivery of electric current.
The Cabinet also decided to approve the renewal of the exclusive purchase of security and protection services for all ministries, institutions, government departments and government-owned companies directly from the Economic and Social Foundation for military retirees and veterans, for a period of one year.
The Council also agreed that the Jordanian Group Company for Free Zones and Development Zones would carry out the rehabilitation works of the Dead Sea Corniche site and treat the damages resulting from its use as a quarantine site during the Corona pandemic.
