Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the start of rehabilitation works for the first part of the Baghdad International Mafraq-Safawi Road, starting tomorrow morning, Sunday; To serve the local community in the area.

The ministry said in a press statement that, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, the road will be closed in the work area between Saidia and Salhiya in the left direction of the direction coming from Mafraq towards Safawi, while traffic will be diverted to the existing side road to become two-way.

She stressed that the traffic diversions are equipped with all elements of public safety, calling on citizens on the road to adhere to the principles of safe driving and the instructions of its cadres working in the field and the instructions of partners in the Public Security Directorate.

The ministry noted that the tender for the rehabilitation of the road includes ten separate sites and will be launched successively during the coming period for the purpose of raising the efficiency of the road.

It is noteworthy that the project is financed by a loan from the Kuwait Fund for Development.
