The Economic Fraternity Conference recommends the necessity of creating Arab investment partnerships

At the conclusion of its activities, the “first pioneering economic fraternity” conference recommended the necessity of creating Arab investment partnerships and developing technological capabilities to advance production and industrialization in cooperation between Jordan and brotherly Iraq.

The conference, organized by the “Jordanian-Iraqi Brotherhood” association and sponsored by Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, recommended encouraging the creation of an investment environment among Jordanian, Iraqi and Arab businessmen and women, and setting plans with clear medium and long-term goals to increase investment between the two countries.

The conference, which was attended by the Iraqi Minister of Planning, Dr. Khaled Najm, the Iraqi ambassador in Amman Haider Al-Adhari, and the heads of the economic and investment committees and their members from the Iraqi parliament called for the need to focus on investment opportunities in the field of oil and gas, and to empower the Arab region economically and developmentally to achieve integration and sustainable investment.

The conference’s organizing committee recommended holding the conference annually and involving other Arab countries to further benefit from investment opportunities, reduce the gaps and obstacles it faces in all fields between the participating countries, and expand the network of business communication.

The committee indicated that the “Second Pioneering Economic Fraternity” conference to enable Arab business and investment will be held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Conference and the Jordanian-Iraqi Brotherhood, Dr. Shankul Qader, stressed the need to move forward and challenge all current conditions in order to achieve sustainable development and a common Arab economy.

She indicated that the conference is an ideal opportunity to hold meetings between Arab businessmen, increase opportunities for economic and investment partnerships, enhance economic, financial, knowledge and technological empowerment, and achieve further Arab economic integration by identifying promising economic and investment fields, in addition to contributing to launching investment partnerships and launching projects. It aims to enhance the role of Arab businesswomen and entrepreneurs in enabling Arab investment and business to build a stronger and safer future.

Qader indicated that Arab economic integration is an important way to increase income and job opportunities, increase investment, and stimulate structural transformation towards more diversified and broader economic models, calling for the need to enhance the role of investment for contractors, traders and industrialists in several fields.

This conference came as a challenge to the current circumstances due to the economic and investment movement in the Arab countries and the strengthening of relations due to the presence of many participants, and a translation of the outcomes of the tripartite summit in Baghdad, for cooperation and partnership; To enable Arab investments to enhance competitive interaction in the region and find solutions to remove obstacles to the implementation of the agreed upon large projects, achieve sustainable investment and build infrastructure.

On the sidelines of the conference, Al-Ikha Association signed memoranda of understanding with the “Jordanian Businesswomen Forum” and the “Russian Businesswomen’s Association” to facilitate joint training programs, increase economic and trade exchange, enhance women’s entrepreneurship and contribute to the development of their economic businesses.
