At dawn on Thursday, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the “Tawjihi” general secondary school certificate exam for the year 2021/2022, the general exam, on its website.

At ten o’clock Thursday morning, the Minister of Education will hold a press conference to announce the results. The conference will discuss the general success rates and top students in various branches.

204,138 male and female students took the “Tawjihi” general secondary school certificate exams in its current year’s session, which started its first session on June 30, 2022.

The participants were distributed according to the branches of education as follows: 78025 for the scientific branch, 100485 for the literary branch, 226 for the Sharia branch, 243 for the informatics branch, and 36 for the health branch, while the number of students participating in the exam from the various professional branches reached 25,168 participants.

The exam was held in 786 schools in the education directorates; It includes 1939 examination halls, in addition to 42 reserve rooms; With a reserve room for each directorate, more than 30,000 male and female teachers are watching exams in all exam halls.

Also, 66 participants in reform and rehabilitation centers and juvenile centers, distributed in 11 halls, took the exam, while 564 students with disabilities took the general exam. The deaf 176, the blind 89, the mobility impaired 118, the cerebral palsy 80, the visually impaired 101, in addition to 23 participants at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

The process of correcting papers began on the first of last July, with a scanner, according to a statement by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, earlier.

Strict measures

The Chief Public Prosecutor, Judge Yousef Thiabat, directed the public prosecutors in Jordan to prosecute those who fired shots, which is expected to accompany the announcement of the results of the high school on Thursday.

Thiabat stressed, on Wednesday, the need to pay special attention to cases related to the crimes of possession of firearms without a license, and the firing of shots, in the event of their arrival, in terms of speed, by registering them, prosecuting the perpetrators, and referring them to the competent courts to receive a fair penalty.

According to a press statement issued by the Public Prosecution on Wednesday, this measure comes in the Public Prosecution’s keenness to maintain community security and peace, maintain public order, achieve public and private deterrence, and spare citizens from injury or loss of life.

Traffic and security plan

On Wednesday, the Public Security Directorate began implementing a security and traffic plan; To facilitate and assist citizens, reduce overcrowding, and deal with any negative behavior in conjunction with the announcement of the results of the “Tawjihi” secondary school certificate.

The Public Security Directorate said in a press statement that the plan includes several axes to prevent traffic violations that disrupt traffic, especially marching in the form of processions, removing objects from vehicles, and driving recklessly and recklessly.

The Public Security Directorate called on everyone to abide by, stressing that the applied procedures include controlling violators directly, or writing down the numbers of the violating vehicles, and summoning their owners to take legal and administrative measures against them, starting with the issuance of the violation, in addition to transferring the violator to the administrative governor; to take the necessary action against him.

Consolidated admission

The spokesman for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit, Muhannad Al-Khatib, expected the start of receiving applications for unified admission to Jordanian universities in the middle of next week, explaining that the process of registering applications for admission to universities will be completely electronic.

He said that the Unified Admission Coordination Unit is communicating with universities to obtain lists of the proposed numbers for university admission.

He pointed out that determining the number of days for registering university applications through the website of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit will be according to the number of successful students in the high school exam (Tawjihi).
