A government source confirmed that the appointments that will be made in the Ministry of Education are for graduates of journalism and media specialization from the stock of the Civil Service Commission.

The source indicated that the formations schedule for the current year will move a major that has been stagnant for many years, which is journalism and media.

He explained that about 100 graduates of journalism and media will be absorbed from the Civil Service Bureau’s inventory, including 42 for the Ministry of Education, in addition to the resumption of appointments in media institutions (Radio and Television Corporation, the Jordan News Agency and the Media Authority), in which appointments have been suspended since 2020 due to the Corona pandemic.

On the media education course in schools, the source explained that the National Center for Curriculum Development adopted the introduction of media education concepts into many school curricula, “that is, they include school subjects in classes; So it is not a separate subject for a journalism and media graduate to teach.”
