The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is following with deep concern and regret the developments of the crisis in Ukraine, the deterioration of the situation and the rise in tension.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Foul, stressed Jordan’s firm and firm position in rejecting the use or threat of force in resolving disputes, and the need to respect international law, the Charter of the United Nations, the principles of good neighborliness, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

He stressed the need to give priority to the language of dialogue, and to unite efforts to stop the escalation and resolve the crisis by peaceful means in accordance with international law and in a manner that guarantees security and stability.

He added that Jordan also calls for taking all necessary measures to protect civilians and ensure their safety.

The Ministry renewed Jordan’s support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and reaching a peaceful solution to the crisis, while emphasizing respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty.
