Today, Thursday, meteorological stations in the east of the capital, Amman, recorded the highest temperatures ever this year, reaching 40 degrees Celsius.
This temperature was specifically recorded at a weather station in the Marka region, compared to recording temperatures around 37 degrees Celsius in other stations in the east of the capital, Amman, while temperatures in the rest of the capital ranged from 34-35 degrees Celsius in the north, and around 33 degrees in the south.
This comes as a result of the Kingdom being affected by a hot air mass coming from the desert of the Arabian Peninsula and accompanying an extension of a superficial thermal depression.
