The medical team in the Cardiology Department of Prince Hamzah Hospital has successfully transplanted aortic valves by catheterization (TAVI) to 3 patients.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Kifah Abu Tarboush, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), today, Thursday, that conducting the operations comes in line with the policy of developing cardiac health services in the Ministry of Health.

He explained that the distinguished medical team consisted of cardiologists, catheter technicians and anesthesiologists, who implanted 3 valves for 3 patients suffering from severe aortic valve stenosis. Very good and ready to be discharged from hospital.

He pointed out that the catheterization operations were preceded by distinguished equipment, with the support of the hospital administration, the Cardiac Nursing Department, and the Pharmacy and Supply Department, as these operations are considered a qualitative leap in the services provided to patients in government hospitals.
