Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the announcement by the United States of America that the leader of Al-Qaeda terrorist Ayman Al-Zawahiri was killed in Afghanistan yesterday.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, said that the killing of the terrorist leader of Al-Qaeda represents a stern message that there is no safe place for terrorism and terrorists.

The ministry stressed that terrorism is a common enemy, and that Jordan continues to work with its partners in combating terrorism and confronting its dark organizations that target innocents and destabilize security and stability.

She stressed the importance of the continued concerted efforts of the international community to eradicate terrorism from its roots.
