The Free Zones Investors Authority said in a statement to Hala News that the demand for electric vehicles witnessed a clear increase since the beginning of this year, until the end of July.

She pointed out that this comes in light of the decline in the clearance of gasoline, diesel and hybrid, as a result of the trend towards the use of electric vehicles, as they are economic in terms of great savings on energy consumed during use, and their ability to run for long periods.

** Decreased clearance on Hybrid, Petrol and Diesel vehicles

The rise in the prices of oil derivatives in the Kingdom since the beginning of this year has led to a decrease in the clearance of hybrid, gasoline and diesel vehicles, until the end of last July.

According to statistics, 8,900 petrol vehicles were cleared until the end of last July, compared to 10,658 petrol vehicles that entered the Jordanian market in the same period last year.
