US Ambassador to Jordan Henry Wooster affirmed US support for Jordan’s vision of economic modernization and the public sector under the leadership of King Abdullah II.

In a press statement today, the ambassador reiterated the United States’ firm commitment to Jordan and the leadership of King Abdullah II, as a strategic partner and a force for peace in the region, and his country’s readiness to support the Kingdom’s efforts in translating this ten-year vision and road map into reality.

He said, “In recent months, Jordan has made pivotal efforts to advance its economy and chart the way to the future for its citizens.”

He pointed out that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan launched, on the bicentennial anniversary of its founding, an ambitious national agenda that meets its economic needs to include women, youth and persons with disabilities while modernizing the public sector to increase its efficiency and capabilities and improve the level of services.
