The Minister of Social Development, Ayman Al-Mufleh, said on Thursday that the number of children who prepare to beg and enter the care and rehabilitation centers for beggars has increased from 60% to 70%.

Al-Mufleh explained, via Al-Mamlaka channel, that many children are returning to the centers; Because of the insistence of the parents on the juvenile to take to the streets to beg, in addition to the financial returns they get from the aid.

And he indicated that the Ministry of Social Development, through the National Aid Fund, can secure cash assistance to the families of child beggars.

He added, “We have brought up 4 cases of human trafficking related to organized beggary since the adoption of the law related to these cases.”
