83 private schools demand that the Ministry of Education make it compulsory to teach the Noble Qur’an (Asmaa)

Educators, education experts, and owners of private schools have called on the Ministry of Education to adopt the teaching of the Noble Qur’an, reading and comprehension, as one of the compulsory courses for all students of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the public and private sectors.
The memorandum addressed to the Ministry of Education and signed by 83 private school owners, of which “Al-Ghad” obtained a copy, stated that the mandatory start of teaching the Holy Qur’an from the first grade up to high school.
The memorandum emphasized that no student would be accepted in public and private universities; Only after he completes the requirements for success in all the compulsory courses within the high school exams, including the Noble Qur’an reading and understanding, with the exception of non-Muslim students who are studying in our beloved country.
Following is the text of the memo:
His Excellency the Honorable Minister of Education
Peace, mercy and blessings of God
In view of the protection of values and morals, the great book contributes to the linguistic wealth of the young, and its optimal role in preserving the Arab and Islamic identity and culture. The Holy has been the preserver of values and the directer of positive behaviors at all times. We, the undersigned educators, experts in education and owners of private schools, call on our esteemed Ministry – the Ministry of Education – to study mechanisms for accrediting the teaching of the Holy Qur’an reading and understanding as one of the compulsory courses for all students of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the public and private sectors, starting From the first grade to the high school, so that the student is not accepted in public and private universities until after he completes the requirements for success in all the mandatory courses within the high school exams, including the Noble Qur’an reading and understanding, with the exception of students who study in our beloved country without Muslims.
We request your Excellency to start the necessary procedures and as soon as possible so that the teaching of the Noble Qur’an becomes a practical recitation and understanding, starting from the academic year 2023-2024 AD
