Two Japanese companies are teaming up to produce vertical ‘nap boxes’ they claim will help solve the notorious problem of work burnout in the Asian country. Koyoju GohanSapporo, a supplier of plywood from Hokkaido, one of Japan’s northernmost prefectures, has signed a licensing agreement to start production of a strange-looking tool it claims will cure office fatigue.
The model mainly consists of a standing wooden case that allows users to come in and use it as a private space to sleep standing up. It may sound like a bad joke, but this is a real product that is likely to be introduced in Japanese offices in the near future, with workers spending a lot of time working, it will capture Some have those much-needed minutes of sleep anywhere they can—in their employer’s bathroom, on the train on their commute, or even at their desk—and at least the nap room ensures it’s comfortably supported so they don’t fall over, according to odditycentral.

Seiko Kawashima, Director of Communications at Itoki He said, In Japan, there are a lot of people who will lock themselves in the bathroom for a while, which I don’t think is healthy.. It’s better to sleep in a comfortable place.. I think a lot of Japanese tend to work continuously without breaks. …hopefully companies can use this as a more flexible approach to convenience.”
The nap boxes are said to provide comfortable support for the head, knees and back, allowing users to take naps without having to worry about falling. Promote a healthy work culture.
