The life of an eighteen-year-old American teenager ended tragically recently, while he was making a prank in the street to participate in a challenge on the “Tik Tok” platform, using a water weapon.
According to the British “Sky News” network, the New York Police confirmed that a security officer shot Raymond Chaluisen last Thursday, and he died on the same day, as a result of a direct injury to the face, after the officer thought he was being attacked.
The American boy was participating in a challenge on “Tik Tok” known as “The Orbeez” and his main idea is for a person to carry a water weapon, i.e. an unreal gun, then fill it with water or a solution or small sticky balls, and then aim it at other people in the street, as a kind from banter.
When the ambulance moved to the injured boy in the Bronx, he was in a critical condition, unconscious and unable to respond, and soon died.
The man who fired the shot was charged with murder and one with “criminal possession” of a weapon, since he was an officer who fired off-duty.
Videos showed people taking water guns out of their car windows, and then pointing them at passersby, to film a “terrifying prank”, while the “Tik Tok” platform published an alert that the challenge may not be in line with its policy on content and behavior.
But this joke, which was described as “heavy”, sparked widespread criticism, because it would terrify others, before they realized that it was not a real weapon, especially in the United States, where the chaos of weapons raises widespread concern in light of the successive shooting incidents.
And the parts of the water weapon used in the challenge and pranks look very much like semi-automatic machine guns, which prompted the New York authorities to warn, saying that possession of air rifles, is illegal and leads to accountability and charges.
