The US space agency said that the “James Webb” space telescope had captured the “deepest picture” of the universe ever, noting that it would publish it soon.
“It will be published on July 12th … and it is the deepest image of our universe ever taken,” Bill Nelson, director of NASA, was quoted by the British newspaper The Independent as saying.
He added: “The image reveals what humanity has never seen before, and we are just beginning to understand what James Webb can and will do in the future.”
And “The Independent” reported that the US space agency will also publish an image of the “Spectrum” telescope, taken from a planet outside the solar system.
She explained: “Such images can reveal the composition of the atmosphere in the distant world, and also help to show which of them are habitable.”
Nelson explained that the image of “Spectrum” will highlight “objects in the solar system and the atmospheres of exoplanets, and this may help answer a number of questions, such as: Where did we come from? Who are we?”
