The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, discussed today, Wednesday, with the Deputy Commander of the US Central Command, Lieutenant General James Malloy, and the accompanying delegation, aspects of cooperation and coordination in the field of joint military training and the exchange of experiences and military exercises.
On the sidelines of the AQABA PROCESS meetings, the two sides also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation relations to serve the interests of the armed forces of the two friendly countries.
In a related context, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff received today, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the Aqaba (AQABA PROCESS) meetings, the US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations Affairs and Conflict Areas, Katrina Mulligan and the accompanying delegation.
Al-Hunaiti discussed with Mulligan the latest developments and challenges on the regional and international arenas, aspects of joint cooperation and coordination, and ways to enhance bilateral relations in the two friendly countries.
It is noteworthy that the Aqaba Meetings Initiative (AQABA PROCESS), launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II in 2015, aims to enhance security and military coordination and cooperation, and exchange experiences and information between various regional and international actors, to combat terrorism within a comprehensive approach.
