Today, Monday, an official source suggested that His Majesty King Abdullah II will visit Ramallah next week, and meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The source added, in a statement to Al-Mamlaka channel, that the king will discuss with Abbas the continuous Jordanian efforts to support the Palestinian people.

The royal visit comes within the framework of the continuous consultation between the two leaderships and in light of the Jordanian efforts always aimed at supporting the Palestinian people, by finding a political horizon to meet all their legitimate rights on the basis of the two-state solution, the solution of which must lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, on the lines of June 4, year 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

It is noteworthy that Jordan always stresses that the Palestinian issue is the most prominent issue in the region.
