The Minister of State for Information Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal Al-Shboul, announced that the government is in the process of amending a number of defense orders, with the aim of easing restrictions on individuals and facilities, in conjunction with the approaching month of Ramadan.
Al-Shaboul explained in press statements today, Monday, that the amendment of defense orders comes based on the recommendations of the National Committee for Epidemiology, during its meeting held on Sunday, corresponding to Sunday.
The amendments include – according to Al-Shaboul – canceling the distance in mosques and places of worship with the obligation to wear the muzzle, and the abolition of the obligation to wear masks in open spaces with a commitment to a green bond and the wearing of masks in closed gatherings.
The amendments also include: canceling the conditions for limiting the capacity of indoor and outdoor gatherings, especially wedding halls and restaurants, including canceling the requirement to limit the number of people sitting at the same table in restaurants, as well as allowing Ramadan tents and tables to be set up.
On the other hand, the Minister of State for Media Affairs announced the launch of the “Ramadaniyat” campaign, which is being undertaken by the Ministries of Youth, Tourism and Antiquities, Culture, Social Development and the Interior, and includes holding sports, cultural, tourism and social activities during the holy month of Ramadan in all governorates of the Kingdom.
The “Ramadaniyat” campaign comes to revive the usual Ramadan rituals in society, spread positive spirit, and an atmosphere of joy and entertainment among young people, children, families and all age groups, after its absence for two years due to the restrictive measures imposed by the Corona pandemic, as it includes various events and activities organized by the ministries of culture and development. Social, tourism, youth.
The “Ramadaniyat” agenda includes sports tournaments that attract the attention of a large segment of young people, most notably the Ramadan Youth Football Fives Championship, whose first role is being held in youth centers and sports clubs within the brigades in the governorates, in addition to chess tournaments, table tennis, and running races.
With the aim of highlighting the Jordanian cultural product, discovering talents and making available the heritage heritage for generations, Shboul indicated that the Ministry of Culture will launch the “Ramadan Explanations” program, which includes free Ramadan evenings, punctuated by the revival of popular games, and the establishment of cultural events, competitions and Samar parties in various governorates.
The “Ramadaniyat” program also includes a variety of activities in the tourist and archaeological sites, including the activities of Jabal al-Qalaa in the capital, Amman, which includes photography, poetry, chants and competitions for children, the Ramadan Nights program in Al Sila village in Tafila Governorate, and the establishment of tourist carnivals at the governorate level.
The program also contains charitable bazaars in all governorates, which are open throughout the holy month from 7 pm to 12 midnight, with the aim of supporting charities and allowing them to market their products during the holy month of Ramadan.
The idea of ​​the bazaars is based on displaying a number of goods produced by charities, such as accessories, clothes, handicrafts, household items and others. It includes recreational activities and games for children, in addition to a set of weekly activities for artistic and show teams.
