The Compass – Dozens of extremist settlers stormed, on Wednesday morning, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, heavily guarded by the Israeli occupation police.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that 79 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning period, and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards.

In another context, the occupation forces arrested this morning, Deputy Director General of the Jerusalem Endowments, Najeh Bakirat, after an intelligence force intercepted his vehicle near the Lions Gate – one of the gates of the Old City. He was transferred to a police station in Jerusalem.

The occupation police continue to tighten their procedures on the entry of worshipers from Jerusalem and the occupied territories in 1948 to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the identities of some of them are detained and checked at its external gates.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed daily to a series of incursions and violations by settlers, in an attempt to extend full Israeli control over it, and to impose a temporal and spatial division scheme.
