Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the prices of tomatoes and cucumbers in the Amman Central Market.

The ministry confirmed that the Amman Municipality Bulletin for the Vegetable Market and the Agricultural Center in the Amman Central Market, which monitors quantities and prices, states that the price of a kilo of tomatoes ranges between 30-35 piasters, and a kilo of cucumbers between 60-80 piasters.

The Assistant Secretary-General for Marketing and Quality Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture, Hazem Al-Smadi, explained that the quantities of tomatoes received today in the central market amount to 335 tons, knowing that the daily market need is estimated at 300 tons, while 130 tons of cucumbers were received in the central market, and this quantity is less than the average. Daily a little and amounting to 150 tons.

Speaking to Hala News, Al-Smadi confirmed that the quantities of vegetables and fruits received today in the central market amounted to 4200 tons, which is higher than the daily average for this time of the year, which is estimated at (3500-3800) of vegetables and fruits per day.

He reassured consumers that the quantities of vegetables and fruits imported to the market during the current and future periods will remain within their levels and rates, stressing that the ministry will continue to monitor the quantities imported to the central market.
