Legality of Representatives discusses proposals for the election law

The Legal Committee of the House of Representatives, at its meeting today, Sunday, headed by lawyer Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, began studying proposals submitted by partisan and political actors on the draft election law for the House of Representatives.

During the past two months, the committee held discussions on the draft law with various political and party forces that presented their proposals to the law.

Al-Awdat said, in the presence of Minister of State for Legal Affairs Wafaa Bani Mustafa, that the draft election law maps out a path for parties to reach the House of Representatives, through a safe and gradual process, reaching a stage where the proportion of partisans in Parliament is no less than 65 percent.

In addition, the members of the committee began discussing a draft law amending the Dentists Syndicate Law for the year 2020, which transfers the functions of the central body in the Syndicate to the General Authority, and allows the establishment of a specialized center for training dentists on residency and specialization programs, in addition to allowing the people of the Gaza Strip residing in Jordan to Permanent, registration in the register of the union.
