260 grooms and brides take part in the largest group wedding in Jordan

Today, Friday, Qatar Charity held what was described as the “largest” mass wedding in Jordan, which included 260 grooms and brides.
This is the first event of its kind for Qatar Charity in Jordan.
The huge celebration was held at the Hilton Resort in the Dead Sea.
The Qatari ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, and Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, CEO of the Qatar Charitable Society, presented the group of celebrated couples.
Qatar Charity’s office in Jordan said that this initiative is the first for Qatar Charity in Jordan, with the aim of facilitating the means of marriage and sensing from it the size of the burdens imposed on young people who are about to get married.
Director of Programs and International Development at the association, Khaled Al-Yafei, said that this ceremony comes within the framework of the association’s goals, which are present in 50 countries, and which aim to achieve development and empower young people in various fields, in addition to fighting poverty and helping the needy.
Al-Yafei added that the association currently sponsors about 190,000 orphans around the world, and seeks to help young people who are about to get married, in addition to other programs that contribute to achieving development and decent livelihoods.
The ceremony included singing performances by a number of traditional groups and singer Hussein Al-Salman.
The ceremony was attended by a large audience of the grooms’ families and their guests, in addition to a number of Arab personalities and ambassadors.
