The Minister of State for Media Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal Al-Shboul, denied that the government had taken a decision to stop the procedures for arresting citizens at the airport.

Shboul said in a press statement today, Thursday, that in response to a number of journalists’ questions yesterday, Wednesday, about the arrest of journalists, Taghreed Al-Rishq and Daoud Kuttab, for hours at the airport during their return to the country, I said at the time that the government was not a party to the issue, each of them related to the reason for his arrest due to a problem. with normal people.

Al-Shboul added that what was published regarding the non-arrest of any citizen at the airport for any reason, and merely asking him to review the relevant authority is not true at all, and the talk in this regard relates to travelers wanted for some simple cases related to electronic crimes, and the intention was not to stop the arrest procedures in the rest of the crimes.
