Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, received today, Thursday, Deputy Director of the US Agency for International Development, Dr. Isobel Coleman.

During the meeting, the strength of the Jordanian-American strategic partnership was emphasized, as well as the new memorandum of understanding to be signed between the two friendly countries, in addition to the development programs and projects offered by the agency in the Kingdom in the areas of women’s empowerment, small projects, refugee support, and the water sector.

Al-Safadi valued the Agency’s continued support in supporting the development process, facing the economic challenges facing the Kingdom and the consequences of asylum.

For her part, Coleman stressed that Jordan is a strategic partner of the United States of America, praising the Kingdom’s role in establishing security and stability in the region, and expressing her thanks to Jordan for hosting it and providing a decent life for refugees.
