The CEO of Royal Jordanian Samer Al-Majali confirmed that regarding the appointment of Karim Makhlouf as director of the commercial department, it came to his efficiency, noting at the same time that he was familiar with Makhlouf previously through their fellowship at Gulf Air.

He indicated, in the context of his speech to the Voice of the Kingdom program, that Makhlouf is not of Jordanian nationality, but rather an Arab from Tunisia, and that he is well versed in his work, indicating that we do not have experience in Jordan in the field of air transport industry.

When asked about the former CEO of the property, Stefan Pichler, and his cause of property losses, Al-Majali said that this is a question that should be directed to the board of directors, indicating that the property loss is not specifically caused by Pichler, pointing out that the property loss in the last year of Pichler amounted to 80 Million dinars.

He added that the ownership earned 15 million dinars in 2019, indicating that the Kingdom currently owns 24 aircraft, and that it seeks, during the next five years, to increase its fleet so that it has approximately 45 aircraft, and is seeking to replace 17 aircraft.
