23 steamers of wheat and barley arrive in Jordan, successively, until next August

Director of Aqaba Industry and Trade, Eng. Suhaila Al-Badour, said that the contracted quantities of wheat are of Romanian origin, while the origin of barley is from Australia.
In an interview with Jordan TV, on Thursday, she added that the ministry is trying to diversify import sources to avoid any risks.
Al-Badour added that the strategic stock of wheat is sufficient for a period of 15-18 months, as the quantity stored in Aqaba silos reaches 112,000 tons until this morning.
As for barley, its strategic stockpile is sufficient for 12 months, and the quantity stored in silos is about 40,000 tons, according to Al-Bdour.
According to the Jordanian TV report, 11 ships of wheat and 12 other ships of barley are expected to arrive in Jordan, respectively, during the eight months of this year. Three ships arrived from both of them.
The quantities expected to reach Jordan are about 111 thousand tons of the two substances.
