The Income and Sales Tax Department called on the designated traders, industrialists and service providers, including professionals and craftsmen, to take the initiative to submit the income tax return for the year 2021, and to pay the announced amounts electronically as soon as possible, and not to delay their submission until the end of the legal period in order to avoid being exposed to legal fines.
The department said, in a press statement today, Thursday, that employees and employees who receive monthly salaries and wages must submit an income tax return if their annual gross income exceeds 9 thousand dinars for the non-supporter, and 18,000 dinars for the breadwinner.
It indicated that deducting income tax from monthly salaries and wages from the employer does not exempt taxpayers whose annual income exceeds the specified limit for exemptions from submitting income tax returns.
On the other hand, the department clarified that according to the law, all service providers, professionals and craftsmen whose annual revenues exceed 30,000 dinars, and sellers of goods whose sales exceed 75,000 dinars annually are required to issue an invoice according to the Billing Affairs Regulation No. (34). ) for the year 2019.
