Representative Jamil Al-Ashush confirmed that Parliament Speaker Abdel Karim Al-Daghmi often “begs” deputies to stay under the dome so as not to lose the quorum.

He was surprised during his hosting on the “Voice of the Kingdom” program on Thursday evening, about the lack of commitment by some deputies, and the attendance of a session of no more than three hours, calling for the application of the rules of procedure regarding the absence of deputies, by holding them accountable for this, especially since the deputies have monthly salaries.

On the other hand, Representative Dr. Ghazi Al-Thneibat said that in the last two months, MPs have suffered from great pressure through discussions of laws, which he described as “fatty and hot,” in addition to committee meetings, stressing that these absences are not intentional.
