Dr. Daria Lebedeva, a specialist in sleep science, announced that a person can get used to waking up without using an alarm clock, if he adheres to a strict regime.
In an interview with the Russian RIA Novosti news agency, the specialist indicated that the best way to wake up without using the alarm clock is to adhere to a daily regime that helps set the body’s biological clock and wake up daily at the required time.
She says, “Try to go to bed at the same time for several days in a row, even on holidays, then the body will get used to this new habit, and thus will adjust the biological clock correctly and will not deviate. Then you will get used to waking up gradually without the alarm at the required time.”
To avoid the stress caused by the new daily regime, the expert advises to get used to a fixed morning routine daily, when the person will feel energetic, cheerful and happy, noting the necessity of adhering to this routine.
She says, “On holidays, it is allowed not to adhere to the new lifestyle, but provided that the deviation does not exceed one hour, but over time the body will not allow this. It is also necessary to refrain from sleeping during the day, so as not to affect the new lifestyle.”
