Minister of Social Development Ayman Al-Mufleh talked about the elements of social justice in Jordan and the extent of their application, noting that the National Aid Fund has a major role in rehabilitating productive families.

Al-Mufleh stressed the ministry’s keenness to achieve social justice for marginalized groups. Such as the elderly, orphans, people with special needs, chaste families and refugees, through partnership with international organizations, civil society and charities.

This came in his lecture, today, Tuesday, entitled: “Social Justice between Islamic Thought and Man,” on the occasion of the International Day of Social Justice, organized by the College of Sharia at Al al-Bayt University, in cooperation with the Islamic Cultural Center and the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies.

Al-Mufleh indicated that the ministry seeks to root the pillars of social justice represented by the rule of law, transparency, and the establishment of a system of welfare and social protection, pointing out that the absence of freedom, corruption and nepotism are among the most important obstacles to social justice.

In turn, Professor of Sharia College at Al al-Bayt University, Dr. Amer Al-Hafi, stressed the need for equal opportunities and taking into account the situation of marginalized segments of society in order to achieve social justice.

At the end of the meeting, which was moderated by the Assistant Dean of the College of Sharia, Dr. Abeer Telilan, and attended by a number of academics, heads of charities in Mafraq and students, an extensive dialogue took place on the mechanisms of the Ministry of Development’s work to achieve social justice for all segments of society.
