Paying about 60 million dinars of debt to the state treasury

Today, Monday, the Senate’s Tourism and Heritage Committee, headed by Al Ain, Dr. Nidal Katamin, met with Samer Al-Majali, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Royal Jordanian, and Karim Makhlouf, Deputy Director-General of the Commercial Sector.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee Al Ain Jamal Al Sarayrah, the Chairman of the Labor and Social Development Committee Al Ain Issa Murad, as well as members of the Tourism Committee.
Al-Ain Qatamin stressed the importance of the Kingdom’s official national carrier, which is considered one of the national symbols in the world’s atmosphere, pointing to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, which cast a shadow on various economic sectors, especially the aviation sector.
He referred to the oversight and legislative role played by the committee, by discussing challenges and discussing ways to overcome obstacles and network with the concerned sectors in a way that contributes to the country’s development and economic progress.
Al-Majali, for his part, spoke about the national property strategy, which aspires to stimulate tourism with neighboring and European countries due to direct support for the aviation sector, noting that the property was able to pay about 60 million dinars of debts to the state treasury.
Makhlouf said that the national strategic plan works on using new technologies and modern marketing methods to expand access to global regions.
He noted that the Royalty is looking to expand the base of passengers on its airlines by providing advanced travel products and packages for new segments of travelers, facilitating them and meeting their aspirations for their flights on Royal Jordanian planes.
For their part, the members of the committee called for the need to reconsider the ticket prices; To encourage Jordanians to travel through the national carrier, and work to improve the services provided by the Royalty.
