During the past few days, the Narcotics Control Department dealt with 3 specific cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances inside the Kingdom.

This came during the intensive campaigns carried out by the administration, as part of its efforts to confront all activities related to trafficking, promotion and smuggling of narcotic drugs.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that in the first case, after collecting information about a person’s trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances in an area east of Amman, he was raided and arrested.

And the media spokesman continued: 34 palms of hashish were seized in his possession, in addition to 4,000 Captagon pills and pieces of different sizes of cannabis supplied for sale. Quantities of cocaine, crystal narcotics and a firearm were also seized.

He added: In the second case, in a region south of Amman, a drug dealer and promoter was arrested in the act and 30 bags of hashish prepared for sale and a group of Captagon pills were seized.

The media spokesman indicated that the third case was in Irbid Governorate, where the information received about the possession of large quantities of cannabis and crystal narcotics by a group of people, and their trafficking and promotion inside the Kingdom, was followed up.

He explained that the information and the suspects were tracked, and after verifying the information and raiding them from the Special Drug Enforcement Administration team, 3 people were arrested, and a group of narcotic substances prepared for the purpose of promotion were seized in their possession.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate stressed that the Anti-Narcotics Department continues its security campaigns against the dens of drug dealers and promoters throughout the Kingdom.
