The Council of Ministers, in its session held today, Sunday, and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh, through video communication technology, approved an amended system for the administrative organization system of the Independent Election Commission for the year 2022 AD.

The amended system comes in response to the new constitutional amendments, which entrusted the task of looking into the establishment of political parties and following up on their affairs at the Independent Election Commission.

Under the amendments, new organizational units will be created in the authority, enabling it to carry out the tasks entrusted to it and to perform the duties entrusted to it under the legislation related to its work.

On the other hand, the Council of Ministers approved the system of leasing agricultural units and other lands in the Jordan Valley for the year 2022 AD.

The system aims to regulate the provisions for leasing agricultural units and other lands in the Jordan Valley, and to define the procedures and conditions of leasing, and the conditions that must be met by the tenant of the agricultural unit and other lands.

The system regulates the provisions of the lease contract between the Jordan Valley Authority and the tenants, and defines the powers conferred on the authority in exchange for the tenants, and the methods it has for contracting with them. The system also determines the financial allowance collected by the Authority for each rental application.

The Council approved the insurance business fees system for the year 2022 AD, which determines the values ​​of fees established under the provisions of the Law Regulating Insurance Businesses, which the Central Bank collects from insurance companies, reinsurance companies, and insurance service providers operating in the Kingdom, and from foreign insurance and reinsurance companies not operating in the Kingdom. And any company that provides foreign insurance services not operating in the Kingdom.

The provisions of the system include licensing fees, annual fees, and approval fees to open branches for any of these companies.

Under the system, the board of directors of the Central Bank is given the power to determine the fees to be collected from any other party that is subject to the control and supervision of the Central Bank in the future, other than the bodies stipulated in the system.

The council also approved the insurance companies deposit system for the year 2022 AD, which obliges the insurance company to provide a cash financial deposit in Jordanian dinars, deposited in any bank operating in the Kingdom, according to the order of the governor of the Central Bank.

The system determines the amount of the cash deposit, and shows the cases in which sums owed by the insurance company are deducted from or executed on this deposit.
