Jordanian and international media circulated news about the bombing of a car driven by a Jordanian and his family in Ukraine, which resulted in the death of the wife and the injury of family members.

For his part, the head of the Jordanian community in Ukraine, Dr. Kamel Al-Awamleh, confirmed that he had not been informed of the news circulating about the injury of Jordanians after their car was bombed on Ukrainian territory, stressing at the same time that some Jordanians have been trapped in their homes until now amid the raging war between Russia and Ukraine.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Foul, confirmed today, Sunday, that there are hot areas and cities witnessing conflicts and military actions; Therefore, the ministry continues to make unremitting efforts to find safe corridors for Jordanians and to enable all of them to exit safely and peacefully from Ukraine.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs revealed that the number of Jordanians who crossed the borders from Ukraine towards Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova has reached 100 people.

It is noteworthy that the number of Jordanians, according to Ukrainian official statistics, at the end of last year, amounted to 2,606, and there are a number of people who hold a Ukrainian passport, while the total number of Jordanians there is estimated to be about 3,500 Jordanians as a whole.
