The Freedom, Youth, Resistance to Normalization and Culture committees in the Journalists Syndicate, during a meeting held today, Saturday, at the Syndicate’s headquarters, elected their heads and rapporteurs.

The Freedoms Committee elected colleague Sawsan Al-Mubaidin as chair of the committee, and colleague Ahmed Al-Zabeen as rapporteur, and the membership of colleagues Rashid Al-Assaf, Suleiman Al-Harasis, Anas Al-Hiyari, Walid Al-Tarawneh and Jamal Al-Bawarid.

The Youth Committee elected Omar Al-Dahamsheh as its chair and colleague Sari Al-Damour as rapporteur and the membership of each of the colleagues: Hakim Al-Khudair, Rania Tadros, Mazen Al-Nuaimi and Ibrahim Abu Zina.

The Anti-Normalization Committee also elected Dr. Muhammad Al-Maaytah as its Chairman and Dr. Odeh Al-Jaafra as Rapporteur, with Mahmoud Abu Dari and Khalil Ziyadin as members.

The Cultural Committee also elected colleague Jamal Al-Alawi as its chairman and colleague Yasser Al-Abadi as rapporteur of the committee, and the membership of colleagues Musa Hawamdeh, Munir Ateeq, Muhammad Oqab Al-Khasawneh, Ramzi Al-Ghazwi, Adnan Nassar, and Yassin Al-Qaisi.

The coordinator of the internal committees in the union, colleague Mowaffaq Kamal, stressed the importance of strengthening the work of the committees to carry out their supporting tasks for the union, upgrading union work to serve the members of the general body, and strengthening the work of the Council in holding sports activities and seminars.

The heads of the committees, Al-Mubaidin, Dahamsheh, Al-Maaytah and Al-Alawi indicated that the committees have developed a plan of action in order to start implementing its provisions in support of the Syndicate during the next phase, by organizing seminars, sports activities and many programs to encourage young journalists to participate in them.

They stressed the importance of participation and coordination to find programs and plans to support the Syndicate Council to carry out its duties to serve the General Authority to the fullest extent, according to the Press Syndicate’s media spokesman, fellow journalist Ali Fraihat.
