Jordanian courts witnessed a “strange” incident, where the Penal Magistrate’s Court north of Amman decided a one-month prison sentence against a pharmacist, for begging to supply his “Dodge” vehicle with gasoline after he ran out of it.
In the details of the case, a sports runner registered a complaint against the “beggar pharmacist”, noting that the beggar surprised him while he was withdrawing money from an ATM in one of West Amman’s regions.
After that, according to the complaint, the beggar, who was sitting in his vehicle, called the sports runner and asked him for 5 dinars because his vehicle had run out of gasoline, claiming at the same time that he had not worked for 4 months, so he gave him 10 dinars.
But the runner was surprised after that when the beggar went to another vehicle, so he hurried and asked the owner of the vehicle what happened between him and the beggar. He filed a complaint against him.
