Coffee, which is traditionally considered a stimulating beverage, can backfire unexpectedly on a person, contributing to a state of lethargy, lethargy and even drowsiness.
In the commentary, nutritionist Natalia Kruglova said that coffee is often over-consumed as an invigorating drink, but cautioned that the habit of energizing yourself with coffee can have the opposite effect – instead of increasing activity, the drink will contribute to its loss, rather than worsening of cognitive functions, It will weaken her.
“If you stimulate yourself with too much caffeine, it can eventually lead to increased anxiety, decreased performance, and decreased cognitive abilities,” Kruglova said.
She explained that such an effect of caffeine becomes especially noticeable in circumstances where a person does not get enough sleep.
She noted that the opposite effect of inhibition from coffee drinking occurs when more than 400 mg of caffeine is consumed per day.
“Someone will need two to three hours for this effect to wear off, and someone will need more time,” she warned.
