His Majesty King Abdullah II discussed with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today, Friday, strong bilateral relations and regional and international developments.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was at the forefront of the future of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah upon their arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi today.

During the talks, which were held in the capital, Abu Dhabi, His Majesty stressed his pride in the strong historical brotherly relations that bind the two brotherly countries and peoples.

His Majesty the King expressed Jordan’s solidarity and standing with the sisterly United Arab Emirates in the face of all threats to its security and stability.

His Majesty affirmed his condemnation of the terrorist Houthi attacks on the UAE, stressing that the security of the UAE is part of the security of Jordan.

For his part, His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed His Majesty the King among his family and in his second country, the UAE, conveying to His Majesty the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

His Majesty the King conveyed His Highness, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, his greetings to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his wishes for health and wellness.

His Highness, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, praised Jordan’s strong position under the leadership of His Majesty the King in condemning the terrorist attacks on the UAE and its solidarity with it, stressing that this position comes within the framework of Jordan’s honorable role towards brothers and friends throughout its history.

His Highness congratulated His Majesty the King for granting him and Queen Rania Al Abdullah the “Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity 2022” in appreciation of their efforts and initiatives in supporting peace and the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence in the region and the world.

The discussions dealt with regional and international developments, and it was emphasized that coordination and consultation on various issues of common interest be maintained, for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The talks were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, and Jordanian Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Nassar Habashneh.

It was also attended on the Emirati side by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and a number of senior officials.
